The wood of this figure is in the process of petrification,
a process by which wood transitions into stone by the process of permineralisation. This is a process by which all organic materials are replaced with minerals, while
retaining the original structure of the stem tissue.
Petrification of the stem tissue can take place in less then 100 years.
The wood of this figure has, at this point, not totally compleated this transformation, neverthless,
most organic materials are already replaced by minerals.
The wood is incredible dense and hard.
