Senufo Helmet Mask
This type of helmet has is used exclusively by the Fondobele people, a sub-tribe of the Senufo. It is worn during the Kuumo ceremony, which commemorates the fourth or the fifth anniversary of the death of important tribal elders. The helmet was kept in the Sinzanga, or Secret Grove along with other important masks, and statues used by the secret Poro Society.
