Orisha Esu, the trickster
The head of orisha Esu, in form of a freely moving ball with a face, hides under the offering bowl. Orisa Eshu is the divine personification of the principal of uncertainty, of temptation, disagreement and conflict. He is a facilitator, transformer and provocateur. He acts as the messenger and mediator between men and gods.
